Hey TJ just bought my first bike. It's a 98 Honda shadow 750c ACE. Runs great. However when I came to a stop earlier it shut off so bought a new battery it was 8 years old. However when I got home and went to park it it acted like it wanted to die on me again. Can you give me any points to check out to try and figure it out. Also it's difficult to get it to go to neutral any advice.

i could literally sit here for days and throw shit at the wall and it wouldnt help either of us. If youre not mechanically inclined thats ok, but in that case, i would suggest you find a local shop who can run some diagnostic tests on it and see whats going on. they dont have to repair it but they can very likely give you an idea of whats going on. and then you can decide if you wana take a stab at fixing it or let them handle it!

Thanks man. I been checking out a lot of your videos but you don't have very many or any that I've found on the 750c ACE especially for my year model. I don't how compatible other bike videos are for my model and year. I have learned a lot from your videos though there very helpful.@TJ
@Jeremy Lee the ace is nearly identical to the 01-09 Spirit of the same vintage.
the differences are the backbone is different hence why i make a tank for the ace and spirit. the head covers on the ace are solid one piece and the spirit has plastic covers. theres a few other minor differences but when it comes to my parts search for ACE specific stuff on the site and youll see only a handful of things are specific. my dual carb videos are applicable to dual carb bikes. the ace, the spirit, the 600, all the same layouts.
