These Honda Tuning Kits are for the Honda VT600/ VLX 600 and VT750(only dual carb) models using a velocity stack or open intake.  If you got a velocity stack from us, you will definitely need to re-jet and tune your carb/carbs with one of these kits!

Single Carb Kit Fits:

  • Honda Shadow VT600, VLX, Steed 1999-2007

Dual Carb Kit Fits:

  • Honda Shadow VT600, VLX, Steed 1988-1998
  • Honda Shadow VT750 ACE 1998-2003
  • Honda Shadow VT750 Spirit 2001-2007

Any time a change is made to exhaust or intake, a re-jet is necessary. This tuning kit is meant to work with a free flowing velocity stack intake and a free flowing exhaust system. This is intended as a Honda Shadow performance upgrade with velocity stacks and or/open exhaust and is not recommended for a stock intake setup. This kit will not work with other aftermarket intakes but it will work with most aftermarket exhaust systems that are more free flowing than stock.

Single Carb Kit Includes:

  • 2 pilot jets - 48, 50
  • 4 main jets - 142, 145, 148, 150
  • 2 brass shims to lift your stock jet needle
  • 1 TJ Brutal Customs Air/Fuel Mix Screw

Slow takeoff

After rebuilding carb bike idles good and runs great the only issue is when taking off in first gear you have to ride the clutch until you get rolling at a good speed before you fully release the clutch. Any suggestions?

The bike runs better than stock. A black velocity stack and a jet kit and I have the cobra exhaust. It really picked up the performance and gave it a deeper exhaust note

JET YA BIKE!!

Bike ran so much better. Paired with a brass velocity stack. Extended mix screw is so nice. Wear a damn glove though, burned myself tuning on the road. Can’t wait to snag a set of upsweeps once I can save a bit to free up some more exhaust!
